Preparations & Decorations... :-)

This weekend, was another busy one and i am only guessing... but i am pretty sure the next few will be VERY busy aswell!!! But at least it was a very productive weekend!

We had a HUGE list of stuff to do, and we didnt even get all of it done! Oh well... :-)
So here are some pics of what i got up too. :-) I had fun though.. i enjoy decorating things. Hehe

First of all, On friday i bought 2 white baskets. One being for the Order of Service booklets, and the other to hold the bubbles in for the ceremony. :-)

The basket with the bubbles is really heavy too! I didnt actually think it would be that heavy! Wow... Hehe

The Basket....

In the end i didnt end up having enough ribbon! I hate when you do that!! Dont you?
So i had to do two different colours of ribbon on each basket, but they still look ok eh?

Here is the one for the Bubbles. :-)

And here is the one for the Order of Services. :-) I personally like the Silver Ribbon best on them, But oh well. :-) Hehe

Next on my to do list, was the Candelabras. :-) I have two of these which i bought from my favourite store, Dusk. :-) They are really cute! I love them. Hehe Thanks to Jessica who spotted them for me! Hehe :-) We had quite a task figuring out how to get the battery operated fairly lights on here. Haha We had to tape it around and around... and then cut a hole for the switch! Both Dan and i agreed that it was alot of mucking around for something so small. Haha Then i had to wrap the Fairy lights and tape them, and wrap the ivy around, and then the tulle. Was all a bit frustrating! Haha but got there in the end. :-) They look quite pretty. These will be used in the Ceremony, as the Candle lighter lights them. They will be up the front near the window in the Chapel. I put some roses on them, too.

What do you think?

I also had the task of decorating the Candle Lighters. :-) I did that last week sometime though i think. :-) They look cute too! I know Im a little strange to get excited over a lighter... But how much more better is it when they are attractive! haha :-) I will probably keep them this way aswell to use in the House afterwards.

So thats about all the Decorating i got up too. :-) I still have one more thing to do! Thats the wishing well. I am not sure how i am going to do that yet! Its a bit hard.. its small, you see. If you have any ideas, let me know! Would love to hear from you. :-)

Oh and as promised, here are some pictures of the things i bought when Dan and i went to the old book store that made me sick the other day. Haha Remember?

The Chandelier thingy... I really like it. :-) But i found a good spot to put it on the roof in the Loungeroom, and then Dan mentioned that it might not be a good idea. Hehe So now i have to find a new spot, and i have no idea where! Dont you hate that?

And here is a pic of the Wallhook i got. I will probably put this near the door somewhere for Keys or something strange like that. Haha

I also tried to take a photo of the Book i got, but it didnt turn out. :-(
Well, thats all for now. :-) Enjoy your day!
~Love,
Melissa~
