For many many months now, i have been feeling VERY overwhelmed and discouraged about my very poor ability to try and be more organised in daily activities, and household duties. I have finally decided that its time to do something about it, (even though i have been wanting too for ages! hehe) with the help of a book called "Cut the Clutter" that my friend, Jessica has lent me. (I think i will plan on buying my own copy of it Jessica, i love it so much! And i only got it off you tonight, and have read quite a few pages already! hehe)
I have gotten to the point in recent months before, where i can become quite depressed with the state of my declutteredness (lol.. nice word melissa) around the house, and just even with my mind sometimes! I have thoughts, and think, "Oh my.. i must remember to write that down and do it!!" And then i forget... (Although i am getting better at it i must admit!) So i'm hoping within the next couple of months to be decluttered, and have a more organised home and efficient way of doing things! What a relief it will be to me when i see that i have this!
At the moment, i am not too cluttered. My main issue is that i have NO time to do the things that i would really love, and desire to be doing at the moment. I also desire to be pleasing to my husband also, and i know that he would love for me to be more organised, as it would help him in alot of ways also! :-)
Thank you to Jessica, for lending me the book, and for suggesting that i read it... I love you for it. :-)
So far, i have found the book to be very helpful, and i have only read the first few pages! So i'm very much so looking forward to reading it more, and putting into practice some of the principles that i am going to learn. I plan on posting good tips, and ideas that i find helpful, for you all to enjoy so i hope you find them a little handy! (most of you are probably way more organised than me... lol hehe!)
I know its not going to be easy, as i tend to be a very 'sentimental' type person, and keep just about anything anyone gives me! Most of my clutter problem is because of my "do it later attitude!".... not good! So now comes the crunch, when i decide what to keep and what not too keep.......and try to change my attitude about things! Which is going to be hard in itself... i know! Oh boy! All i can say is, PRAY for me. :-)
So i will keep you all posted, on the progress etc!
Wish me Luck! :-)
Love,
Melissa

Haha, I think you and I are slightly alike Mel, we will never be uncluttered!
I always have something that needs doing...
I will give you a tip though - I went through a lot of my sentimental things and found it was easier to think about whether I really needed it and whether I already had something like it.
Have a nice day
Ang
You can do it!!! :)
Cant wait to read the tips you post!
Good luck!!
I actually find organizing to be quite fun and wish I could help you out =)
Love you!
Like my sis I find organizing fun. However with four kids one being my hubby I don't have a lot of time to do it. I find that setting the alarm in my phone calendar or making lists in the phone notebook helps me remember what needs done. Also I have some info that I received from a friend that I will forward to you that helped me.
