Heart of The Home

I am joining in on this fun Party at http://notesongs.blogspot.com/ I have enjoyed looking around at some of the gorgeous kitchens that you all have! Thanks for hosting it Sheila!

Here are a few pictures of our little Kitchen. :-)

I love our kitchen, but the only thing i hate about it is the lack of bench space! I use the table a lot of times for bench space too! That works well, and we also have a little Island Bench at the end of the kitchen to help out with space, too. I love the little personal touches, that make a house a home. I enjoy cooking very much so, and love to try out new recipes and things. :-)

We do a lot of things in our kitchen/dining room. They are both in one room, so we use the kitchen table for a lot of things other than eating. I also use the kitchen table to make crafts on, and write letters, sometimes even fold washing on! Haha ;-) But all in all, its nice to have a kitchen, as some people dont i guess! We take a lot for granted.... some peoples kitchens is just a dirt floor, with a fire in the ground.... So its nice to be thankful for what we have! And i am thankful for a cosy little kitchen. A place that i can cook for my family and friends. A place to hold conversations in, and watch my little baby boy crawl around in while i am cooking. :-)

Here is the Dining area within the kitchen area.
The hutch was given to us by my mother in law. :-)

A favorite tea pot set, and a little table center piece i created on a silver tray. :-) I recently found some cute teaspoons whilst in Sydney, that i bought. They are silver, and have a cute little rose design on the ends. I love candles, too! Especially scented ones... Hehe The tea set was given to me as a wedding present from a dear old friend of mine.

I love my tea and coffee canisters which i got a target once. :-)

I really like jars, and glass containers too!

My kitchen is also a place to remember, and think of those people that mean the most to me. :-) I have pictures of loved ones, and friends on a photo board i made. And also on my fridge. :-)

I hope you enjoyed our little kitchen tour! :-) I am off to look at some of your beautiful kitchens now! :-)

Pop on over to Sheila's Blog see some of the beautiful kitchens others have, or even to join in the fun!
Have a great weekend everyone!

Well, hello Miss Melissa Jane! Oh, what a charming kitchen you have. Looks like you have quite a bit of counter space and I love how you've decorated it. You have a nice dining space too. I love your huge china cabinet and your round table looks like the one I have in my breakfast room!
You're so right - we have so much to be thankful for and how it blesses my heart to hear you speak it!
Thank you so much Melissa for coming to my party!! Hope you'll come back sometimes for a visit.
You are a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
