I cannot believe our little man is 1 year old already!

We celebrated his 1st birthday on the 23rd of October this year instead of closer to his actual birthday which is the 31st of October. :-) Caleb's nanny is working in the Solomon Islands, and she wanted to be here for his birthday so we had it a bit earlier. :-) Which was nice. I had fun planning it all, and working on ideas for it. But i am glad it is over now! :) Thank the Lord they only turn 1 once! lol.... Its a lot of work, but well worth it. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the day. We ate, played games, had a pinata (which i think my hubby enjoyed the most.... LOL) so everything was good fun!
Our Precious Caleb, one year old already..... honestly where does the time go? Its sad to think of how fast he grew, because i miss his baby stage, but the age he is at now is so fun too! He tries to copy everything you say, and loves to get into things! He started to walk before his first birthday, too! So that was exciting, and i love all of his crazy ways, and he has us laughing often! Such special memories of his first year..... love him so much!
I love being a mummy so much.... it is the best job ever! I love spending each day with my little man, getting to know him, and making him laugh and just sharing everything with him!
We decided on a "Transport" type theme for his birthday. So we had little displays of firetrucks, helicopters and cars all over. :-) We also used "Fun at one" for the decorations, which was so cute. :-)

The favors for the children were in themed loot bags, :) With lollies, and toys inside them. For the adults as a small thank you i made choc chip cookies and put them inside ziplock baggies. I then made some stick on thank you tags myself, as i saw some on etsy that i liked, but didnt have enough time to order them and recieve them before the party. :) I love the way they turned out.
The thank you stick on's read: Thank you for coming to my party! Love, Caleb.

The Drinks Table - we made punch. :-) I love punch anytime there is a party!
I also made the photo timeline you can see on the board in the background as a decoration. It had pics of his whole first year of life, from birth up until 11 months old. :-) So cute. It is now in his bedroom on his wall as a keepsake for him.

The Cake & Cupcakes

Enjoying his lunch. :-) We had snacks and party food, and pizza!

Waving at someone... or something. :-) I made his tshirt for his special day. I saw them on etsy for about $50 a tshirt! Too much, so i just purchased some iron ons, and his tshirt and away i went. I love how it turned out. So cute, and now he has a special keepsake from his birthday.... stained with blue icing for extra memories! LOL :-) I love this photo.
Cake time! :-) So precious..... i made a HUGE cupcake for him, and cupcakes for everyone else instead of a huge birthday cake. Was a lot of fun! He ended up crying at the cake part, when everyone was singing Happy Birthday. Hehe So cute! He tried to grab the candle and everyone was saying, "Noooooooo!" And i think he may have touched the flame, but only for a second... so he got a little scared by all of that! Haha.... We recorded it too... Priceless. :-) Definately bring it out on his 21st birthday! lol....

Loving every minute of eating that blue icing........ :-)
A family photo - daddy, mummy & Caleb

The Poser..... This is my all time favorite photo of him on the day! Haha Makes me smile. :-)

Caleb & Nanny.... :-)

Playing Duck Duck Goose...

Beautiful birthday boy :-)

Walking around before the party started. :-)
Pulling funny faces... lol :-) I love his impersonation of a fish in the one below! My fav... lol

Fun with the Pinata... Daddy enjoying himself after the kids had played with it. :-) lol One smash and it was exploded everywhere! Lol

Opening Gifts with mummy... :-)

A special day enjoyed by all. :-)
Hope you enjoyed the pics! Take care, and enjoy your week!
We are currently in Sydney again for a week as my husband is working here. Now off for a walk.... looks like rain! Yay... :-)
Love,
Melissa
