Anyhoo, back to projects.. :-) Everyone loves a hobby... whether it be sewing, scrapbooking, reading.. whatever the case, its nice. Somewhere that you can relax, and enjoy yourself!
In the past i have discovered a love for many things. Firstly, scrapbooking, (which i love! but just never get time to do it.... so my good old Sister in Law, Naomi has been posting about her new found love of digital scrapbooking which i am seriously considering looking into!) What fun! :-) I dont know if it will be as fun as actual paper scrapbooking, but hey its worth a try. :-) I have a bunch of scrapbooking projects sitting there waiting to go, such as wedding photos, and engagement photos, and honeymoon pics too! My aim is to create a one story book kind of thing, with something that tells our story. Letters, photo's etc etc. :-) But that is probably going to take some time!
I have also considered taking on Decoupage. :-) I have always loved and admired looking at the finished product of decoupaged items. I recently brought a book about it, and it has all kinds of tinware, and wooden items, boxes etc in it that have been beautifully decoupaged. :-) I am looking forward to starting it very soon! It will be nice to have a hobby again... i mean, really nice! They do look really pretty, if thats what your into! Hehe :-) Next step is too sit down and work out a budget (a must!) and a list of supplies, then bombs away! :-) So i am sure i will be posting in the future about some projects that have either failed, or turned out well. Haha

Another thing that i have looked into before, is rag doll making. :-) My cousin and i actually started on one about 2 years ago, and the other day whilst i was cleaning out our bedroom and unpacking some more boxes i came across the fabric for the dresses, the wool for the hair, buttons, wadding, etc etc! So we must finish those! :-) They are too cute not too! I wonder if my cousin even remembers that we started them! :-)

I enjoy sewing as well, although i will admit i havent really had much practice with that kind of thing. :-) I have made a very basic quilt before whilst in America and a skirt. I also made a candlewicked baby quilt for a friend of mine in the past as well. Little bits and pieces here and there, but have never really went any further with that. So i would definately like to try and sew some more things! So i'm looking forward to that also.. if i get the time! I have a few little projects that i would like to try for around the house.. so we'll see how that goes! Wish me luck...... I need it! hehe I did enjoy candlewicking alot, so i would love to get back into that! :-)

Another new avenue that i would like to look into is photography.......... But we all know how expensive Cameras are. :-) Well the good ones at least. Hehe ;-) But we shall see. I have always loved photographs, and how they tell a story. :-) Lovely! In the past i have wanted to study photography, but it just never worked out. Not sure if i still will or not, but it might be fun to learn a little more about it! :-)
And lastly ( i think!) is candlemaking.. :-) I have been doing some research into it, so we shall see what comes of that! :-)

So tonight after doing some cleaning and bits and pieces, i am going to look through my sewing basket, and some books and see what i can find. :-) I know i have a collage project that i have been wanting to work on for a while so hopefully i can get that started! :-)
Hmmm, so looks like I might be busy with the craft side of things for a while! :-) Wish me luck, and if you have any tips or anything i would be happy to hear them! Perhaps you could post pics of your makings, and projects you have completed in the past...:-) Would love to see!
Enjoy your week all and i look forward to hearing from you!
Love,Melissa
