This weekend, was ahhhh a kind of relaxing one (except for house cleaning! :-) which was good! I was really looking forward to it, as last week at work was fairly busy, so the weekend was being looked forward too for some time during the week! Why do weekends always seem to go so fast? I mean, it's like you blink, and then there you go, What do you know? Its monday again! Grrrrr.... :-)
Anyway, On Friday night after i got home from work i decided to make something i havent before. (Call me weird yes... i am 23, and have never made a pie before... well i have made sweet pies, but not savoury ones!) :-) Which is weird, i actually thought. lol Growing up my mum made pies all the time, but i guess i never really enjoyed watching her make them or something because its not something i remember doing. :-) So i pulled out my favourite cook books, "Simply too good to be true".. (They are great books! If you dont have them you should definately invest in them. You can pick them up from any newsagency usually. They have all low fat, healthy recipes and some of the stuff in there is so good! Even if your not using them for weight loss, to be eating good healthy meals is also a plus!)

I decided to make a Chicken and Vegetable pie.. It turned out really well. :-) And tasted realllyyy good! I will definately be adding it to my favourite recipes. Hehe Ohhhhh but filo pastry is so very annoying to work with! Those of you who have done so know what i mean! I was fed up with it by the end. Haha!
So we had Chicken and Vegetable pie and some mashed potatoe. :-) Went nicely together.
And... i guess Dan loved it! Isnt he a weirdo? Haha... a sweet one at that? ;-) I guess him mum never taught him that it was bad manners to play with your food???? hehe
On Saturday, my friend and i went scrapbooking together in the morning. I do love to scrapbook. There is this cute little place in our home town here, that is rather nice. You can go there on Saturdays and pay $10.00 and do 2 pages and use their stuff, which really isnt that bad. I didnt take any photos with me, but plan on next time! I have been meaning to do a photo collage for my fridge. Im sick of all the photos on the fridge falling off, and i think they look kinda tacky sitting there by themselves. Haha So why not make a cute photo collage. :-) So thats next on my list! I have so many things to do, (as always!) but i like to keep busy, so that will keep me going for sometime! I decided to spend the time making some cards. I only got done with 2. Haha It took me forever, to think of something to make and in the end they didnt turn out that great. Oh well. :- ) At least i tried!
Here is the end result... I thought they turned out ok??? :-)
Anyhoo, i am off to bed for now. Its fairly late, Church was great today, and im not ready to face another week at work! Who ever is right? :-) This week will be busy with helping out at the Church also, so thats going to be fun! The building makeover is coming along quite nicely. The painting has progressed, and we chose the carpet too! Of course that wont be going in until after we have painted... der. :-) Have a lovely week all! Look forward to talking soon. Take care!

I agree - weekends go entirely too quickly! There are so many things to do!! :)
Wow - the pie looked really yummy. Isn't it funny how we procrastinate in trying certain recipes, yet when we take the plunge, the result is great? Filo pastry can be a little tricky too!
It sounds like you got so much done and had a chance to be creative. Well done!! Have a GREAT week at work! :D :D
The food looks good and your cards are very nice!
