Sydney Trip

Last weekend, it was a long weekend so we decided to pack up and head away for the weekend to Sydney. We had so much fun! Ashlee, our niece came along with us and we stayed with Dan's dad and Gran. It was so good to see Gran again! She is getting on in years, and i just love her dearly! She is so kind, and sweet, and i will never forget when i first met her... She really is so lovely! We were glad we got to see her again, and she really enjoyed seeing us and having us there for a few days.

I also met alot of Dan's family too, which was great. They all knew who i was before i knew who they were! They kept on saying, "Oh yes, i know who you are! I have seen photos of your wedding, how beautiful it was!" So gran had been showing everyone the photos before i even knew it! Dan tells me that Gran was always saying to Dan and Matt (his brother) that she wished that they would get married before she passed on. So i guess that is why she shows the pics around, Hahah "He finally did it!" Must be of some relief to her i spose. LOL I thought that was worthy of laughter, haha just thought that was pretty humourous! Haha :-) We spent some of the time, travelling into Sydney on the trains. We actually travelled twice into town on the trains. You never drive, it is absolute chaos with all of the traffic etc! It is madness, so the train was quite an adventure to say the least. Haha They kinda freaked me out because of the weird people we saw! It is quite sad really, they are filthy! Graffiti all up the walls, glass bottles on the carriages etc. Just plain disgusting! The younger generation really has no respect for their own property these days, let alone tax payers money! A real shame.

We arrived in Sydney and went to Luna Park first.Luna park is located right on the Harbour, so it was kinda scary going on the roller coaster over the ocean! Haha But, It was really alot of fun! I haven't been on rides at a theme park for so so long! I really am getting old though, because i can't handle the rides like i use to be able too, when i was much younger! Quite scary really. :-) Haha My favourite ride was probably one, that i cant remember the name of! oops... The Ranger was pretty fun too! Although someone threw up on it. Haha I will post a video of it below later on so you can see what one was my favourite. Although, i did feel like i was going to almost slip out of the seat on it! haha They bar they do up across your chest is soooo tight, its ridiculous! No wonder people vomit with all that extra pressure on there! My stars! :-) Ashlee loved it! Both Dan and i felt sick after going on it! Anyhoo, enjoy the videos below of some of the rides and the happenings we got up too! :-) Had alot of fun, loved it! (Although, i don't like Sydney that well! That will never change!) Too many people for my liking!

Luna Park Entrance below. Isnt the face weird looking? Apparantley it has had ma
ny makeovers over the many many years. Luna Park was built in the 1930's, so as you can imagine things have changed since then! They even still have some of the old exhibits, and games there that were there back then! That is kinda neat, you got to see what they thought fun was back then and how times have changed!

Considering it was School Holidays, there actually wasnt that many people, which was great! Meaning we didnt have to wait too long to get on the rides etc. Hehe

Haha, (below) Can you imagine me looking like this in the next 50 years? Hahahaha! OH LORD i hope not. Hahaah :-)
(Above) The world famous, Sydney Harbour Bridge & Opera House. I never understood why, and still don't to this day as to why the Opera House is considered a great building! To me it is quite ugly! Haha :) But from what i have heard, the sound inside is absolutely phenomenal!

Ashlee, Dan & I in front of the Sydney Harbour Bridge and the Opera House. It was freezing, which is why i am wrapped in Dan's jacket. Haha :-) Kind of an overcast day! It did actually rain occasionally on and off.
Awww.... Dan (sunburnt, very!) Myself and our dear Abby. One happy little family. hehe Why does she never look at the Camera! Grrrr :-)

Anyhoo, gotta head off now! :-) I will post some of the videos from our trip later on. :-) There were some pretty neat things, such as Acrobats and things of that nature. There were 2 street theater performers that were kind of weird, but interesting. Haha :-) One was a lady that fit into a box! That was funny!
One guy was juggling a chainsaw whilst standing on a bike! He was REALLY odd though. I think we got a video of him... which was weird! So will try to post that aswell.
Gotta go for now! Be back later with the Videos. :-)
