Well, well... Yesterday was my doctors appointment to get my test results back from the blood test and breath test that i had over a week ago now. I decided to book in to see my regular doctor, because as i mentioned i didnt really like the doctor that first saw me and told me to get the tests! haha... So i got there and waited over an hour in the waiting room... Isnt that always the way though? It is at least at my doctors office. There seem to be sick people everywhere! Pretty sad really, it was so sad how many old people i saw too, with busted legs etc! There was one poor old lady bless her heart, that walked in the heat to the doctors office!! She had to be at least 80 or more!! And she walked in the heat, and my goodness, it was VERY hot yesterday, the high 30 degrees mark, for you americans, that would be high 90s or even 100s! So yep, summer is taking its toll! Im just so happy i dont have to be outside! I feel sorry for the council men, and builders and tradesman that have to work in the heat! My goodness......
Anyhow, so the end result was this. I Dont have thyroid condition, which i am SO very pleased about! As i thought it would be a possibility because it runs very high in my mums side of the family. I dont have diabetes, which i also thought i had! SO yay! :) The blood work came back all great, she said i am pretty healthy, and have nothing to worry about! Although i did have low iron in the blood work, which she said could be caused by the fact that i had hardly eaten anything at the time of the test, and being sick when the blood was taken wouldnt have helped either. But praise the Lord that everything there was normal!
Now, for the bad news. I did have a breath test, and it came back highly positive for the stomach bacteria Helicobacter. You can do a search and read about it on google if you dont know what it is etc. :)
It is a bacteria that lives in your stomach, and if it goes untreated it can eventually cause stomach ulcers and gastric cancer. So i wasnt pleased about that at all! :( But the doc has given me a script to take some medication for it, and it is treatable. I wasnt suprised that i had it though, because my mum said that everyone in my family had been tested and they have it, except for my little sister, so thats 5 out of 6. So no suprises there! :) But thank the Lord it isnt anything worse!
I cant stand the meds though until i find out something else.... must wait for that. :)
So there you go, all done! YAY.. i can at least stop worrying about that!
I have been feeling really lethargic lately too, but i think thats the diet i am on at the moment, well partly thereof! It takes it out of you!
Hope your all well, and having a good week!
I will be back later with more stuff... :)
Love
Melissa

and low iron makes you tired. Iron allows the red blood cells to take oxygen around your body. I am extremely anaemic, all the time, and I know when my iron is really low when I start getting out of breath just doing normal things. Have some red meat or a big cup of milo (it's fortified with iron) and that will help.
Oh on a side note, if your diet makes you tired, its a bad diet. A healthy diet includes lots of good nutritious foods. If it is telling you to not eat a certain type of food the warning lights should be going off. God created these foods for our wellbeing. Fad diets (atkins, pritikin, low-carb, low sugar, no-fat, anything where one food is elevated as the miracle food) are hoaxes and diversions from eating the way God created us to.
I am glad the test results came back all clear. I have never heardof helicobactor before, so you do learn something every day!
Hope you have a fabulous weekend,
