Christmas Everywhere & Plans!

Peeka Boo everyone! :)
I can't believe it is Wednesday already! Arrgggg.... Where does the time go???

It's that time of the year where everyone is crazily busy getting ready for christmas! Buying gifts, wrapping them, decorating and the Lord knows what else! I really do not like that part of Christmas, the part where everyone is in such a rush... people need to be more organised! Haha Dont worry, i am speaking to myself on that matter too! Trust me.... Haha!  Things have been busy here at our place too! I have been busy with not only organising more things around the house, but also chocolate making, finding recipes for baked goods, and so forth!  Over the next week or so, i will be busy baking and wrapping and finishing off Christmas cards, as well as delivering little bags of gifts to family and friends! So i have my work cut out for me i am afraid!

So i hope you all have a lovely, lovely Christmas! Remebering our Dear Saviour, and what he did for us on the cross. May you all have a blessed Christmas Season, spending that quality time with family and friends and loved ones. After all to me, that's my favourite part of Christmas. :) Second would be the food, haha!  and the decorations of course.. Can't forget those! OH and one of my absolute favourite things to do, is drive or walk around and see all of the beautiful Christmas light displays around town! I will definately be doing that again, and will post some pics for you all to see what people have come up with in this neck of the woods. Haha It is all so exciting!!! :)
One thing that would tickle me pink... is if we had WHITE CHRISTMAS's HERE in Oz land.. but unfortunately, that will not happen! It would be so neat if it did... Hey, maybe we can get some fake snow machines!!!! YIPPPPPPEEEEE! That would be so neat. Haha All though, no... maybe not... i wouldnt want to clean up all of the snow.... no thanks!!!

What about you guys? I would love to hear what your favourite part of Christmas is! :-) Leave me a comment with yours! Hehe

Here are a few of the happenings at our place... :)

Dan and i put up our tree up together...*Sigh*.. how romantic right? LOL...... a new tradition in the Searle family. :) We look forward to doing this in the future with those little members of the Searle family when they do come along... Haha :) We are looking forward to spending our first Christmas together as a married couple. We decided to have a nice quiet, christmas breakfast together just the two of us. That will be fun, :) I am planning the menu as we speak! So far, i am thinking of Bacon, eggs and tomatoes ( a better homes and gardens had a special recipe in their!) with hash browns, and some chocolate pastries, coffee etc. Yummo! Then for lunch we will go and join Dan's mum and sister and the twins (yay!) and ashlee, and mitch for Lunch. For dinner, the usual.. .what everyone does! Eat LEFTOVERS!!! The Lord knows that's usually what everyone does for days and days after Christmas if your lucky! Haha! :-)

I decided to go with Purple and Silver this year... matches my colours anyhoo!! Simple this year... :-)
A tree, and a couple centrepieces, and baubles hanging in different spots and that's it! I have seen some absolutely beautiful houses decorated, and they are gorgeous! I would eventually like to get into that... Haha but we shall see. :-) It can get expensive.. too expensive!!

Here is some pics of my absolute favourite Christmas Decorations that i have seen in a magazine of someone's house. Isnt it soooooooo beautiful! :-)
Click here to see all the loveliness i am speaking of!!!! So pretty isnt it? What do you think?

Anyhoo, Here are a couple of pics of our little decorations around our home. Enjoy!

These silver snow flakes are so pretty! They came in a pack of tree ornaments i got from Target! They are so pretty and sparkly. hehe :) Hope... after all, isnt that what Christmas is about?

The cute little reindeer has little white pearls on it. :-) It was too sweet. I got it from a cheapo store. Haha

This little centrepiece is sitting on my coffee table in the living room. The purple balls are so pretty! And the silver ones too, they have neat little glitter stenciling on them! Very cute. Hehe

This little centrepiece is on our kitchen table. I love the little reindeers! Hehe :)

This little wire Christmas tree i thought would be cute for the stair post. :) So that's where i put it...

And the stair decorations, too. I had originally planned to line it with green tree tinsel type stuff, but couldnt get any in time, with lights. So instead, i used this silver beading with bows. Looks cute still. :-) I am hanging my Christmas Cards on the silver beading up the stair rail, too. :-)

And of course our Christmas Tree.. :) As i mentioned Dan and i put it up together! It was a task trying to shape it so you couldnt see all of the spaces between it! My goodness... but well worth it. It looks really pretty and matches so well! Incase your wondering why its on top of the chest, that's because the dear little member of our family, Abby, would LOVE to chew this, and eat it! So no way is that happening! I used my purple quilt that i made, (The first one ever!) when i was in America, for a kind of tree skirt thingy.. It goes nicely too! :) What do you think?

And all lit up.... :-) I was miffed with the lights, the set we got from Target didnt work, they were all dim! Grrr i hate when that happens! They worked fine before we put them on the tree, but just afterwards! :(

Awww purrrtttty. :-)

A Merry Christmas Banner in Silvery purple tones... and a few baubles on the wall. :-)

Would you believe, that i brought a wreath for our front door. I did! And guess what it did? It broke... i discovered it was only made out of styrofoam and things like that, so i decided to make one instead. :) It turned out nice, also! :) Silver & Green.

So that's our decorations, all ready for Christmas!! Now comes gifts, and things of that nature!! Excitement.
I would love to see pics of your decorations for those of you have them up. :-)

MUST GO!!! Been on here long enough.... Haha

So before i go..... Abby & Mel say.....

Your home looks so festive and very pretty. Thanks for posting those pictures!! :)
My favorite time of this year would have to be how nice everyone is to everyone else. They can be complete jerks the rest of the year and for a few weeks everyone gets along. Funny I know!! I also like the lights...
